IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal Certification course frequently asked questions.

Q: What if I can't attend the full 12 hours in a day, I need to leave early or I can't get time off from work for three consecutive days?
A: We understand the challenges of time management when it comes to child care, school and work scheduling. You can mix and match our schedule to make up for the hours that you missed. You need to contact us to make an advance arrangement for this set up to make sure that there are seats available on your intended make up class date.

Q:  Do I need to have my license number to take the course?
A: No, you don't need to have your license number to take the course. However, we can only forward your course completion certificate to the board when you get your license number. You need to contact us once you receive your license number.
Q: I am a student, can I take the course while I am in school?
A: Yes, you can take the course. The board does not restrict nursing students from taking the course while they are in their program of study. However, we can only forward your course completion certificate to the board when you get your license number.

Q: How often do we need to take the course? Does the certification expire?
A: You only need to take the course once. The certification does not expire.

Q: I am afraid of needles. Can I bring someone for the venipuncture?
A: Yes, you can bring a volunteer. Before we perform a livestick, we practice the skills on a manikin.
